I agree with Dragonball Z man!!!  Maybe Goku or Goten can come & save Mr. Maloney... Or better yet, maybe they can give Mrs. Schivo some of those sinsu beans or summon the dragonballs to bring her back to life...

I believe that Maloney is innocent.
Why don't they believe the boys?
How many innocent people did Paulis convict? Should he be tried? He knows the truth, but is he willing to share the truth -since the truth would condemn him.
The fact that he is in jail should tell something.
If the law wants you convicted - they will find a way regardless of what it takes.

John Maloney deserve a new trial.

It is obvious that the traditional CYA modus operandi has caused wrong conclusions in the review just as in the original case.

As far as the "anger" shown on the video tapes there are two significant factors to be considered:

1)   John did not strike his girlfriend even though he was badgered beyond belief!
2)  Any person who is thusly badgered would get very angry.

Furthermore, there was not any absolute evidence that John was even present on the day of the murder.  The only "suggestion" that this may have been true was the videotaped badgering.  Nearly everone I know who is thusly accosted by another individual will eventually respond in any way necessary to stop the verbal banter.

There are numerous reliable witnesses to the questionable character and ignoble motives of the prosecutor.  No doctor will testify against another.

I really do not believe that there should be anonther trial, but a declaration of "mistrial" and immediate release of John Maloney.

At least give him a new trial. But just because the people at cbs news want you to think he's innocent doesn't make it true. I don't see how anyone can say he doesn't deserve a new trial though, with evidence that his defense lawyer sucked, and that the prosecuter was corrupt (in other cases at least, so maybe this case as well).

I sometimes wonder where this country is going. With all the new interest in this case I would certainly that Mr. Maloney receives a new trial. If he doesn't, then well I certainly hope we as a people make sure that this NEVER happens again. I wonder, did they ever let the children testify? Did the defense attorney do his job (obviously not as we have just seen)? I may not be an expert but I am a fellow human being and someone like John Maloney could not have done this, the evidence that was ignored should have proven that on its own. I wish John the best and his family too, my thoughts are with all of you.

He absolutely should receive a new trial.  There is too much evidence that was not even looked at, and the fact that the DA has been convicted of tampering evidence in other cases, makes for a better case.

He should be re-tried!!!!    Anyone can twist any story!  Talented, ambious DAs' are no exception. She was a very sick woman and probably emotionally abused by her husband. I beleive the boys what do they have to be afraid of if Dad is a convicted murderer, sentence to life he can't really hurt them.
What I saw in the tape was an enormously frustrated man attempting to convince his girlfriend Sandi of his innocence. She seemed to be convinced of his guilt. While he did appear on the edge he did not hurt her physically!

I think that the DA needed a high profile case so he could hid the fact of dismissing littler cases.  They said that is what he was found guilty of.  Stop and think to hide one crime let's make a mountain out of a mole hill some where else.  Hide facts and just focus on convicting someone for this and noone will know about the other little cases.

Remember this only my opinion!!!

Anybody who thinks Mr. Maloney doesn't deserve a new trial is a Class A idiot... Look Mrs. Schiavo has gotten all those chances for a new trial that unfortunately were not warranted & has cost the taxpayers millions of dollars... Mr. Maloney deserves another chance for a trial... He's fighting for his life as well... I'd rather see my tax dollars go for his case then her's... Oh & by the way, my wife & I both have living wills & durable power of attorneys... We both have made it clear not matter how hard it would be, we positively did not want to be kept alive by artificial means... So don't slam me for Mr. Schiavo honoring his wife's request... The parents need to let go & not treat their daughter like a possession instead of a human being...

yes he should have a new trial, but how many other district attorney's are as hellbent on proving there point of view is correct and the defendants are guilty(after all their job is to convict people to hell with if they are guilty or not)my son is in jail for killing his wife and in his case they also used video tape that was spliced by the district attorney and the victims co worker, there was also boot prints in blood that was never investigated, there were no fingerprints on the gun even though a cop secured it with no gloves on , there was not powder residue on my son or his clothes, but he is in jail for life, tell me what is it going to take to make the people of this supposedly free country do something about the corrupt justice system? i would love to talk to a reporter about my sons case also how do you get people to pay attention to the pleas of a worried and disgusted mother, there is no such thing as justice in this country.
